I've Got Patrick!

I have to say, Paris is tempting me to the point that I am about to snap... Initially, my plans were to keep busy by traveling around France, partaking in people-watching at the Parisian café scene, and attending business lectures... However, lately I'm starting to feel like all that would have to be put on hold! Paris appears to be greatly in bloom with exciting open-door haute couture and fashion photography showings that are popping up every day!!! And I am just learning about this!! My latest excitement has to do with a Patrick Demarchelier exhibit that will take place between May 13th and July 22nd in Paris' 16th arrondissement. The event will be held at A. Galerie, a gallery dedicated to photography and contemporary art. Simply dubbed, "Desire" the exhibit will feature some of the most stunning pictures of the fashion industry's best known faces: Kate, Gisele and Christy Turlington. I cannot wait to see this!!! Practically living on Vogue US and Vogue Paris since my early teens, I can recite the editorials by heart. So, I am really curious to see which of the Demarchelier works have been dubbed "most stunning" since all of his work comes with a classy, yet intriguing, yet incredibly beautiful effect. And most of all, I cannot wait to share these with you all. But, since a month still remains until I ship off to the City of Light, I figured that I would take you all through some of my favorite Patrick Demarchelier works.

Luxury French Retail 101

A few days ago I had learned that the LVMH (Louis Vuitton/ Moët Hennessy) group will be opening its fabulous venues up to the public from June 15 to June 16th of this year. And... several of those venues just happen to be in Paris!!! What is especially exciting about this is that I will be in Paris for over a week at the exhibition's opening!!! So... to play upon my excitement I felt that today I would explore the world of luxury French retail, which would enable me to keep my eyes open when I will be Paris and especially when I will be in the Monaco, etc. So here goes!
