Mastering the Art of Crêpe Cooking.

While at Georgetown there was one café we were anxious to try... the quaint Café Bonaparte just a street down from our hotel. Highly praised for its authentic "French cafe" feel as well as an incredible array of French dishes, this place certainly did not disappoint... Though quite small, Café Bonaparte is undoubtedly  filled with a lot of character. With French music softly filling the air as you people-watch from your position-- perfectly situated for just the task, overlooking the pavement terrace with a brilliant view, and complemented by its tiled ceilings, antique photographs of Paris, as well as a lovely caramel espresso to be enjoyed at a slow pace, and a wide selection of crepes both sweet and savory, this was certainly a perfect starter for my Parisian adventures in exploring the must-have cafés of Les Deux Magots, Cafe de Flore, etc. But the part which perhaps proved the most favorable both in sheer experience, as well as photographs was the crêpes we had at Café Bonaparte as well as its sister establishment, Napoleon Bistro & Lounge in Washington D.C. This experience just wetted my appetite all the more for savoring more Parisian crêpes, as well as Paris' cafe scene. So, today I figured I would spend some time on the art of the crêpe cooking... Or rather, cataloging some recipes to be attempted this weekend! And as always, I really enjoy hearing from my readers, and any suggestions regarding cafes in Paris, or Parisian crêpe places will be much appreciated! Merci milles fois!!
