Coco Chanel: Classy and fabulous...

Probably one of the most famous addresses in Paris has to be 31 Rue Cambon, the home of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel. Undoubtedly, one of the most iconic figures in fashion, the Coco Chanel legacy has spread around the globe--a legacy which found its roots in none other than Paris! Therefore, seizing on the opportunity of getting to know the world of Coco is a definite must when coming to live in the City of Light . Sadly, however, this is not an easy task...Chanel lived at the Ritz ( an attainable location), but  it is just my luck! The Ritz has closed its doors in order to undergo a major renovation, (so much for afternoon tea at the Ritz!). However, Coco worked and entertained nearby at Rue Cambon. This doesn't make matters any easier... for after a bit of research I came to ascertain, much to my dismay,  that the closest one can get to touring the apartment is by paying a visit to the Chanel boutique situated on the ground floor, which might score you a brief view of the mirror-clad staircase. Sadly, as far as I can tell based on the experience of different tourists, that is the most one can do... And because I am not yet in Paris where I might be able to finesse my way into Coco's world through the right recommendations, getting to know Coco at a distance will have to do...
